It was an early start to a Saturday morning. We left school at about 6am, we hit SO many traffic jams, but we still made it in 6 hours. We got to Castle Inn Quarry at about 1 pm. We got climbing straight away. Rhys got a bit scaredy poo on his first climb, but he did overcome the torture, after that he just kept making a fuss, BUT he is in year 8 so it's understandable. Kempy did a couple of 6c's (The cakewalk and Route 3), and me (Miller) did a 6b (School Mam), but I fell off after the 2nd bolt, still did it though. When we arrived at KMC Mr.A saw some plastic boxes, put Rhys in one of them and slid him across the room. For dinner we had a Margaret-made Lasagna.

We had a nice and late start, we got woke up by Mr A at 8:00. We looked at the weather report to see what the weather would be like for the day. The weather was bad with torrential rain getting up to 2-3cm. We went down to breakfast where everyone had decided what they were going to have the day before; everyone decided to have cereal and a cooked breakfast. We decided to change the zip wire, wire over, which sounded to be fun. We changed the zip wire over with the bolts being a pain to undo. We were able to finish the zip wire about mid afternoon but it cannot be used for 24hours. After dinner, which was gorgeous, we sat down in the bedroom to watch White Chicks. This film was well funny and made everyone laugh; the day was good with getting some of the maintenance work out of the way.

We had an early-ish start, which started at quarter past 7. We then had half an hour to have a shower and get ready for breakfast. We then had a love-lilaceous breakfast. After that we had a look at the weather outside and found that it was going to be nice. So we went CLIMBING. We decided to go climbing at Lion Rock where we learnt a lot of good stuff. We learnt about setting up stances, placing gear, and abseiling we each done a few climbs. Whilst we were there a group came and took up a lot of the rock. It was quite annoying, but at around lunchtime Mr A asked them if we could switch walls. They said yes. We were up at Lion Rock for about six hours. We then went down to Yellow wall and done a good session of bouldering. After that we went to the KMC and had dinner. It was so nice. Today was fun and we learnt a lot. Thanks to Mr A.

Again we had an early-ish start, which was 7.20am. We got ready for breakfast and made our way down, we had bacon, scrambled eggs, tinned tomatoes and waffles, with toast and cereals. We went climbing at about 10.30am, it was quite a nice day, a bit chilly sometimes but we still got quite a few climbs in, Kempy climbed Holy Holy Holy, seems the same, slab club special, I climbed Zambezi, Seamstress and Seams the Same and Rhys climbed, Holy Holy Holy, Zambezi, Seamstress. We got back about 4.45pm and chilled out. For dinner we had pizza, wedges, vegetables and for pudding, sticky toffee pudding. After that we went up to our rooms and watched end of Riddick, Rhys got annoyed after Nathan and I scared him about the ghost. Nathan then got his jammy Dodgers out and started to wind up Rhys with them by not giving him one. Nathan gently slapped Rhys round the face as a joke then Rhys slapped Nathan really hard. Everyone thought this was really funny with Nathan's face with surprise.

Today we had Mike Russell to join us on our quest to the Llanberis pass. I ended up being with Mike whilst Rhys and Nathan went with Mr A. Me and Mike headed of to the Clogwyn y Grochan whilst Rhys and Nathan went to Carreg Wastad. When Mike and me got to the Grochan we decided to go and warm up on the Nea VS 4b, which was a very good climb and both me and Mike enjoyed it very much. After this Mike asked me what I wanted to do and I said Hangover E1 5b, as it was one of my targets for the trip. I did the 1st pitch with ease, and then moved onto the 2nd pitch that was harder than the 1st pitch. Both Mike and me really enjoyed the climb. After doing this Mike and me practised some gear placements and how it is easier to set up slings and gear on the harness so it is easier to use once taken off the harness. We then moved down to Quasar E3 6a. I got up to a roof where Mike and I thought that it was the crux; I seemed to do this with ease. Then mike spoke to some people he knew about the climb and where the crux was and how it could be done. I had a few attempts on the crux with out using the rope but wasn't able to do this. I ended up lowering up of a sling and taking out the gear. When I had lowered off we flicked the sling of with trouble. When we had packed our bags ready to leave Mike told that his friend he was talking wasn't sure if he was even talking about the right climb.

Nathan Miller and me are going with Mr A and we are going to learn how to climb in pitches. When we had finished the long walk up the side of the hill, we put our bags down and threw on our helmets. We were at Carreg Wastad and Nathan M and me were shaking in our socks, because it was so high. We done our first pitch climb with Mr A and it was great. Our first climb was called The Wrinkle, which was 235 feet, and it was a Very Difficult. It was great. Our second climb was called Crackstone Rib and it was 175 feet and it is a severe. Later that evening I broke my toe. It really hurts.

Today it was throwing down with rain; we decided to go indoor climbing at the Beacon. We had a good fry up, as always, which had crispy bacon (which fussy Kempy wouldn't eat), scrambled eggs, beans and smilies. We went into the village to get some paint for the zip wire. We went back to the Clyd and chilled for an hour, we then went to the Beacon. Rhys and I did 3 6a's and Kempy did a 7a, whilst also taking a big 15ft fall ending up only 2m off the floor. After that we did a bit of stamina training, Kempy went up and down twice on a 6a and up on a 6a+, I went up and twice on a 6a and Rhys went up, down, up. We got back at about 5.30, for dinner we had curry, BUT because Rhys and I have butter on our naan bread, we didn't get any at all, I think sir was trying to make us cry but it didn't work, HA. We watched Terminator 3 and then went Night Night.

Today we woke up and the weather was bad, so we decided to go to Anglesey climbing. We decide to go to either Yellow Wall at Gogarth or Holy Head Mountain. When we got to the car park above Yellow Wall we found out that the rock was wet and decided to go to Holy Head Mountain. We got lost as usual on the way to Holy Head Mountain but found our way eventually. We went climbing with Mike to day and I was climbing with Mike again, which would be fun. Mike and me decided to warm up on Cursing VS 4c which was really good fun. After this we sat down to each lunch, we then went onto try Teaser VS 4c that was an interesting layback climb. After doing Teaser Mike and I moved onto a sort of blank looking slab, which was called Duffel HS 4b. These climbs were all classics from the area and we had great fun on them.
Rhys and Nathan did 3 climbs, which were The Sump - Diff, Rhys did New Boots and Panties - Severe and Nathan did Teaser - VS 4c. Nathan fell twice, but was very lucky to have held on both times.

Today we woke up and we could here the rain hitting the window. We were annoyed at first but then we found out that breakfast had been changed just for us so we all felt really special. After our special breakfast we decided that we was going to do maintenance work as it was raining. We started to finish the Zip Wire as the ball bearings arrived but then Mr A went on to the Super swing to fix that. After it was finish both of the Nathan's and me were messing around on it for ages while Mr A was doing the Zip Wire. When we had to lock the swing up we went over to quickly finish the Zip Wire. When it was finished we all had a go on it, but then we ended going on it four times. For dinner we had Lamb Chilly, Potatoes and Rice, for desert we had raspberry Cheesecake. That night I had to do the washing up and the washing machine(but that was punishment for Blowing off)
When I went down to do it I didn't know the two Nathan's were down there out to scare me, they hid in the Courtyard door waiting for me to finish, when I did finish I went back up the stairs, something banged on the wall, so I ran up the stairs and tripped over the last step, then I saw who it was, the Nathan's.

Today we had a nice lay-in, we got up at 9:45am. We went down for breakfast and had sausages, egg and beans. We decided to go climbing, then to do the shopping. Kemp climbed Fools Gold E1-5c, Thousand Tons of Chicken S**t E5-6a and Equinox VS-4c.
I climbed Equinox, Rhys did Solstice HVS-5a and Fools Gold E1 5c. We then took a trip to an astonishing BLOW UP Tesco, we then did our weekly shop, Mr A asked me and Rhys if we would eat Naan bread with butter and I said yes so he put them back, so I just stopped everyone from having Naan bread that week(oops). For dinner we had Chicken Fillets and for pudding we had fruit cocktail and ice cream and then we watched Bourne Supremacy and Little Britain. When we had decide to go to bed when all of a sudden the fire alarm went off because some boy sprayed shoe stuff.

Today we were moving to the barn to see the biro man (scared). We loaded up the car and headed off to the barn when we arrived we thought we may have visitors because the cottage is being refurbished. We got settled in and then headed of to Tremadog. When we arrived at Tremadog we looked through the guidebook and Nathan and me headed of to do The Plum E1 5b. Whilst we did this Rhys and Mr A headed off to do Christmas Curry VS. Rhys found this climb very good until he got to the top pitch where he got scared and realised that he had forgotten his rubber underpants. Nathan and me did The Plum, which was a very good climb with every move being a different move. Even though Nathan fell of on the hard bit, but he still thought that it was a very good climb. After we did these climbs we went down to the car for some lunch. After lunch we changed partners and I was with Rhys whilst Mr A was with Nathan. Rhys and I headed off to do Meshach HVS 5a. This was really good except for we didn't do the top pitch because it would have been a disaster so I finished up Grim Wall VS 4c. Whilst we did this Mr A and Nathan did Shadrach VS 4c, Nathan found this climb exciting because it was technical. When Rhys and me did Meshach we had an epic at the top of the 1st pitch because I hadn't protected it very well, so I belayed him whilst Nathan and Mr A also belayed him from the other side to help him across and make him feel safe. Overall the day was very good with some good climbs done.

Today we woke up with the voice of Mr A. For breakfast we had Honey nut Corn Flakes and toast. When we figured out where to go we packed our bags and left the building. We decided to go up to the pass (Dinas mot). We got a climb in each. Nathan M and me both seconded a climb while Mr A and Kempy lead. Mr A and me went up The Cracks while Nathan and Nathan done Super direct. When all of us were at the top naughty Kempy had to abseil down to try and get out the nut that was jammed. He ended up not getting it out so he had to come back up. Then we all abseiled down to the bottom of the rock. We then picked up our bags and went round the corner to eat lunch. We decided then to go to DMM second shop to buy two nuts that stayed on the rock. After that we went to the Bus Stop Quarry's. We went there to try two climbs, Masambula and Gnatt Attack. It started raining. We quickly packed up and went to Pete's eats. It was stupidly full. So we went to the Barn and had a lovely hot curry, followed by custard and sticky toffee pudding or spotted dick. Then I wrote this diary.

Today for breakfast we had cereal and toast, then we decided where we were going to go. We went to Gogarth, Wen Slab and climbed A Dream of White Horses HVS-5a. The climb took 7 hrs, which flew past, we had a mini epic whilst climbing though, the first was the rope wasn't long enough to get to the start, I forgot my belay device, the 2nd stance was scary and also very painful (especially for us boys) and Rhys having a little honest 5 minutes, by saying "I'm not gonna trad anymore" obviously no-one believed him, the only reason for this was because Rhys thought he was going to die by falling 70m even though he would've fallen 2m, BUT he didn't know this even though he was being B-layed from both sides, it was scary though because there were rocks with Seals on them and we didn't want to squash them to their watery, squishy deaths. It was worth it in the end though because we went to Pete's Eats, Mr A had Spag Bol, Rhys and I had Sausage, egg, chips and beans and Kempy the boring chimp had Cod, chips and peas. Whilst I was writing the diary we had Tea and Biscuits then we watched the slide show and went to bed "together", to find that in the morning it's Kempy's (boring chimps) Birthday and the Biro man is here to give Rhys his rubber undies.

Today we woke for a different reason because it was my 15th birthday. We got up and had breakfast, which was cereal and toast. After breakfast Rhys surprised me with a birthday card that everyone had signed. We decide to go to Tremadog because we wanted to get out of the rain and climb. We got to Tremadog and went to Craig Pant Ifan where I did Barbarian E1 5b, which was really hard and scary because there were two big overhangs in which we had to go over, and a scary sort of blank slab at the top. Whilst I was doing this Nathan Miller was doing Poor Mans Peuterey S. He found this quite easy with a couple of technical moves, whilst also dropping his B-lay device nearly killing Mr A. After climbing we had to go to TESCO'S to get a birthday cake and some party balloons that Rhys kindly brought. After going to TESCO we went to Pete's Eats that was lovely. We then headed down to the Cromlech Boulders where we did some boulders but with out the guidebooks so we had to guess the grades for the climbed in which we tried. The highest grade bouldered I think was only a V3 or V4. We then went back to the barn for a party with some party balloons and birthday cake. We all got balloon hats and made some dogs. This was very good fun as Rhys wasn't able to blow any balloons up and Nathan Miller kept bursting them. Over all a good birthday.

Today we woke up and it was sunny, but raining. We had a nice breakfast, which were Frosted Flakes, Bacon Sarny and Toast. It was so nice. We had to pack up and clean the Barn. Once we had done that we had a hard job of taking them all down the long rocky path. We then decided to go to Bochlwyd Buttress. Where we all got a few climbs in. Kempy did The Wrack E2 5b, and Bochlwyd Eliminate HVS. Nathan Seconded the Bochlwyd Eliminate, and lead Chimney Climb S. I lead Marble Slab HS and then went on to Arête and slab D and I also tried to second The Wrack, which I didn't do because it was so hard. After this we went back to the KMC and watched TV.

Today we had a bit of a lay-in because our breakfast was at 8.30, we decided to go gorge walking. We got all the gear and left at about 10, when we arrived we put everything on and set off, Rhys couldn't believe that he had to climb up a waterfall. He liked it though. When we were up at the pool we all jumped in except Mr A, I lost my wellies after swimming out of it. Kempy was the only one who could get them out, we then started to walk up to another gorge but we had to walk through this man made stream that led to a reservoir. We had to go through a very long dark tunnel. We reached the other end and went to find the other pool to jump into, the water was absolutely freezing, Rhys and Kempy started puffing and panting to try and breath. After that we went to find yet another pool, this time there was a 4c traverse and Kempy slipped off just at the beginning, we went for a swim then started walking back to the car. When we got back we washed all the clothing, I started writing this, we had lamb and mint burgers, chips and peas and watched casualty.
