INFORMATION
The Junior age category is 10 to
16 years (taken on the day of the first round).
There are categories for male and female.
Top performing competitors who are technically Juniors can change to the
Senior category (17 years and over) part way through the competition to
give the juniors a chance!
Only your four best scores from the five rounds are used to calculate your final position.
The entry fee is £8 per round payable on the day.
Entry is by registration on the day of the event. Our intention is to arrive at the venue at about 9:30am but you can register at any time during the day.
Competition starts at 10:30am and continues until 4:00pm if necessary.
You must not leave the floor until the competition starts (except on areas of the wall where there are no competition climbs).
There will be 25 climbs to try each earning you;
ten points
if completed on the first attempt
seven
points if completed on the second attempt or
three
points if completed on the third attempt. No further attempts are allowed.
The same 25 climbs are used by all categories with slightly easier versions for junior categories.
You do not have to take your three attempts consecutively (go away and have a rest, think about it, watch someone else try the problem etc).
