At both rounds so far, we have had several climbers finishing in the top ten of the junior male competition with Philip Charley making third place at the second round today. Ex-pupil Matt Cousins is maintaining his excellent form, finishing fourth at round one and second today. He has also won both head-to-heads. Full results here. |

1 August 2007 Tony Musselbrook has competed at four competitions over the last four weekends. The next weekend and Tony was in Sheffield for the Senior British Bouldering Championships where he was 11th. Five days later Tony was flying to Warsaw in Poland where he reached the final of the EYS round and eventually finished 9th. A few days later he was off again to Blackpool for the British Lead Climbing Championships on 28 July. He finished an impressive 4th. And finally, in his self-declared "rest week", Tony visited High Rocks in East Sussex where he topped "The hardest climb in the South-East" (according to the Climbers' Club guide). |

2 January 2007 Congratulations to Philip Charley and Matt Cousins who both recently topped their hardest sport routes yet. Philip succeeded on his first 7a at the Westway yesterday after a single previous attempt; a remarkable achievement indeed at just twelve years old. At 17 (but no less-an-achievement for that), Matt Cousins climbed his first 7c along with some strong attempts at similar grades yesterday. |

30 December 2006 Following a determined effort over the last school term, Peter McNulty has earned a well-deserved place in the school's development team. Peter will now have the opportunity to participate in larger-scale competitions and other trips outside. |
